The working principle of a concrete transport tanker is to extract power from the chassis of the vehicle through a power take-off device and drive the variable displacement pump of the hydraulic system to convert mechanical energy into hydraulic energy and transmit it to the quantitative motor. The motor then drives the reducer, which drives the mixing device to mix the concrete.




Structural Principle
Power Take-off Device
The concrete transit mixer truck adopts the main vehicle engine power take-off method. The function of the power take-off device is to extract engine power by operating the power take-off switch and drive the concrete mixing tank through the hydraulic system. The concrete mixer tank rotates forward during the feeding and transportation process to facilitate feeding and mixing of concrete, and rotates in the opposite direction during discharging. After the work is completed, the power connection with the engine is cut off.
Hydraulic System
The engine power extracted through the power take-off is converted into hydraulic energy (displacement and pressure), and then output into mechanical energy (speed and torque) through the motor to provide power for the rotation of the mixing drum.
Operating Mechanism
(1) Control the rotation direction of the mixing tank so that it rotates forward during the feeding and transportation process and rotates in the opposite direction during discharging. (2) Control the rotation speed of the mixer tank.
Mixing Device
The mixing device is mainly composed of a mixer drum and its auxiliary supporting parts. The concrete mixer drum is a container for loading concrete. When rotating, the concrete moves along the spiral direction of the blades and is mixed and stirred during the continuous lifting and turning process. During the feeding and transportation process, the mixing drum rotates forward and the concrete moves inward along the blades. When discharging, the mixing drum reverses and the concrete is discharged outward along the blades. The blades are the main components of the mixing device. Damage or severe wear will cause uneven mixing of the concrete. In addition, if the angle of the blades is not designed properly, it will also cause segregation of the concrete.
Cleaning System
The main function of the cleaning system is to clean the mixing tank. Sometimes it is also used for dry mixing during transportation. The cleaning system also cools the hydraulic system.
Fully Enclosed Device
The fully enclosed device uses rotary sealing technology to seal the inlet and outlet of the transport mixer truck, solving a series of problems such as water evaporation, mortar stratification, concrete material spillage, and driving safety in traditional concrete mixing transport trucks.
Maintenance Repair
As a transport vehicle, the maintenance and repair of concrete mixer trucks must comply with the provisions of Order No. 13 of the Ministry of Transport in 1990, and implement the maintenance and repair system of "regular inspection, mandatory maintenance, and repair as needed". Under this premise, combined with the actual situation of concrete mixer trucks, maintenance and repair should be done well. In terms of daily maintenance, in addition to routine maintenance of the engine, chassis and other parts of the concrete mixer truck, the following maintenance work must also be done.
Cleaning concrete tanks and inlets and outlets
Since concrete will solidify into hard blocks in a short time and is corrosive to steel and paint, it is a daily maintenance task that must be carefully performed to clean the concrete adhering to the concrete tanks and inlets and outlets after each use of the concrete tanks. This includes: a. Rinse the inlet with water before each loading to keep the inlet moist during loading; b. Fill the cleaning water tank that comes with the vehicle with water while loading; c. Rinse the inlet after loading to clean the concrete remaining near the inlet; d. After unloading at the construction site, rinse the discharge trough, and then add 30-40 L of cleaning water to the concrete tank. Keep the concrete tank rotating slowly in the forward direction when the vehicle returns; e. Remember to drain the sewage in the concrete tank before the next loading; f. Thoroughly clean the concrete tank and the inlet and outlet at the end of each day to ensure that there is no cement or concrete lumps. If the above work is not done carefully once, it will cause great trouble to future work.
