The Difference Between Concrete Mixing Station And Mixing Tower

Many people think that since concrete mixing station and concrete mixing tower are both equipment for producing concrete, there is not much difference, the only difference is that one is big and the other is small, one is high and the other is low. In fact, it is not the case. But what is the difference between these two sets of equipment? Let's briefly introduce it.

First of all, the difference between the concrete mixing station and the mixing tower system: the mixing station consists of five major systems, such as material supply system, metering system, mixing system, electrical control system, etc. The mixing tower is relatively simpler.

Secondly, the aggregate bin of the mixing tower is on the top, and the aggregate enters the mixer directly after metering; while the aggregate bin of the mixing station is below, and the aggregate needs to be transported by an inclined belt (some use elevators) after metering before entering the mixer. In layman's terms, the aggregate is lifted once and called a tower, and the aggregate is lifted twice and called a station. Because the aggregate bin of the mixing tower is on the top, the steel structure will be larger and the inclined belt will be relatively longer. But in terms of productivity, the productivity of the mixing tower is about one-fifth higher than that of the mixing station.

During operation, the energy consumption and failure rate will increase due to the frequent start-up of the inclined belt of the mixing station, while the energy consumption and failure rate of the mixing plant are relatively low.

Finally, due to the small production capacity of the mixing station, the structure is easy to disassemble and assemble, and can be formed into a container transfer location, which is suitable for construction sites; while the mixing plant is large in size and high in productivity, it can only be used as a fixed mixing device, which is suitable for large-scale water conservancy projects or commercial concrete supply with large output.

Therefore, when customers distinguish between concrete mixing stations and concrete mixing plants, they choose the appropriate equipment from several aspects such as the number of times the aggregate (material) is lifted and the production efficiency.
